Archeology--- Time capsule?

Why or how does a time capsule relate to Archeology? Do time capsules fall into a particular type of Archeology? Any key points? Any great links? I was looking for a time line of time capsules found over the years, anyone know if there is one out there? Please take the time to answer this question. Thank you so much ;)
