Annotated bibliography! Does my teacher even know?

So I'm taking an archaeology class at my local community college (I'm still in high school) and I have three annotated bibliographies due on Tuesday. In class, she made it sound like she just wanted us to do some research, read some articles, and summarize what we read. Now I'm looking up what format I'm supposed to be writing it in and it looks way more complicated and I feel like a lot of it doesn't apply to me! Does she really want an annotated bibliography or just a summary of the articles we read? Help!
