Is Blackbeard's Treasure real?

I've done a little research on Blackbeard (Edward Teach) and I know that he left behind a mass amount of gold coins and antiques. I just wanted to know any other info. I also plan to finish my Archeology Bachelor degree and head out to sea to find it. If anyone has any tips or hints on the treasure or Blackbeard I'd much appreciate it.
